چکیده
Abstract We present a distant T-type brown dwarf candidate at ≈2.55 kpc discovered in the Cosmic Evolution Early Release Science (CEERS) fields by James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) NIRCam. In addition to superb sensitivity, we utilised 7 filters from JWST near-IR and thus is advantageous finding faint, previously unseen dwarfs. From model spectra new JWST/NIRCam filter wavelengths, selection criteria of F115W-F277W<-0.8 F277W-F444W>1.1 were chosen target spectrum features dwarfs having temperatures 500 K 1300 K. Searching through data Observations (ERO) (ERS), find 1 promising CEERS field. The result SED fitting suggested an early T spectral type with low effective temperature Teff ≈1300 K, surface gravity log g ≈ 5.25 cms−2, eddy diffusion parameter logKzz cm2s−1, which indicates age ≈1.8 Gyr mass ≈0.05 M⊙. contrast typically found within several hundred parsecs, estimated distance source kpc, showing JWST’s power extend search much larger distance.

Optical spectroscopy of a brown dwarf candidate ⋆
We have used the Low-Resolution Imaging Spectrograph on the Keck II telescope to observe the brown dwarf candidate D04 (Hawkins et al, 1998). The spectrum matches that of a spectral-type M7 dwarf, implying a photospheric temperature of ≈ 2600K. This is consistent with the available (R-I)C and (I-K) colours. If the parallax measured by Hawkins et al is correct, then the implication is that D04 h...
متن کاملA proto brown dwarf candidate in Taurus
Aims. We search for brown dwarfs at the Class 0/I evolutionary stage, or proto brown dwarfs. Methods. We present a multi wavelength study, ranging from optical at 0.8 μm to radio wavelengths at 6 cm, of a cool, very faint, and red multiple object, SSTB213 J041757, detected by Spitzer toward the Barnard 213 dark cloud, in Taurus. Results. The SED of SSTB213 J041757 displays a clear excess at lon...

Discovery of seven T Tauri stars and a brown dwarf candidate in the nearby TW Hydrae Association. Abstract We report the discovery of five T Tauri star systems , two of which are resolved binaries, in the vicinity of the nearest known region of recent star formation , the TW Hydrae Association. The newly discovered systems display the same signatures of youth (namely high X-ray flux, large Li a...
متن کاملNarrow-line Seyfert 1s from the SDSS Early Data Release
We present a sample of 150 narrow-line Seyfert 1s (NLS1s) found within the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Early Data Release (EDR), only one of which was previously identified as such. This more than triples the known number of NLS1s, and provides a basic method by which to identify many more with subsequent releases of SDSS data. With its large size and homogeneous, well-defined selection criteria, ...
متن کاملA Brown Dwarf Microlens Candidate in the OGLE-II Database
We describe a unique mass determination for a microlensing event from the second phase of the Optical Gravitational Microlensing Experiment (OGLE-II). The event, sc26 2218, which is very bright (baseline magnitude I = 15.10), appears to exhibit both parallax and finite source effects. The parallax effect allows us to determine the projected Einstein radius on the observer plane (r̃E ≈ 3.8AU), wh...
